Seal Cove Pond has a way of turning the sky upside down. On a still day, the water becomes less like a pond and more like a second sky, holding every cloud, every break of light, and every dark edge of the shoreline.
This is one of those quiet Mount Desert Island places that does not need much from you. You just have to stop long enough to notice what it is doing.
The clouds were dramatic enough above me, but reflected in the pond they became something else entirely — a whole weather system laid out at my feet.
