Dock Into the Fog

from $70.00

There is something about a dock in the fog that feels like an invitation and a warning at the same time.

The boards lead straight out into nothing — or at least into what looks like nothing. No far shore, no boats, no bright sky to tell you where the world ends. Just weathered wood, still water, and that soft gray wall Maine likes to build when it wants everything to slow down.

I love how quiet this feels. Not empty exactly. More like the whole place is holding its breath. The dock is still there doing its job, reaching out into the water, even when the view has disappeared.

Sometimes that is enough. You do not need to see all the way across. You just need the next few boards in front of you, and the nerve to keep walking into the gray.
